Farewell to U Street

BRINK is on the move!

After more than six magical years nestled on a bustling block of U Street’s most creative corridor, we here at BRINK’s DC office are spreading our wings and taking off for new digs downtown. We have been steadily investing both time and money into building out our video production arm, and are moving into a much larger suite with an expanded studio space in the heart of downtown DC.

Over the past 18 months, we’ve shot documentaries, political campaign spots, poetry readings, comedy shorts, podcasts, talking heads, and a slew of GIFs for our own personal amusement. In the new space, we’ve got our sights set on even more experimentation with lighting, styling, and lightning-fast content creation, all the while keeping production costs down by keeping our crew small and our ideas big.

Our groovy little basement house in the middle of U Street has served us well, and it really felt like home. As much charm as the neighborhood’s architecture and history offers, our neighbors really brought the love. From our jovial, roaming handyman, to our next door neighbors trading space in their recycling bins for a little marketing lift, and even the opticians on the other side popping over to let us know about deals on eye exams, we were all on the same mission—to foster a community of commerce and growth on U Street while keeping it fresh, friendly, and funky!

BRINK’s storefront space offered an unfiltered, often loud, and always entertaining stream of city dwellers parading past our windows. From Presidential caravans interrupting meetings, to inopportune keg deliveries during shoots, to being rewarded for working late by getting some free, top-notch live jazz drifting through the walls, working on U Street was a true BRINK experience—a hip, artsy, and bustling city vibe with the commercial power and commitment to community to back it up.

Thank you to all our neighbors and friends all over the city who have visited us over the last six years. You really helped us create some magical memories in BRINK’s first DC office. As we move into our bigger, brighter, and more baller new space, we hope you’ll still pop in for a visit.

We can’t wait to show you what we’ve got!
